E2 (estrogren): E2 is the main female reproductive hormone that is secreted from the ovary and stimulates follicle growth as well as prepares the uterine lining for implantation.
FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone): FSH is released from the brain and stimulates the ovary to mature an egg.
LH (luteinizing hormone): LH is integral in the final maturation and release of a mature follicle.
AMH (anti-Müllerian hormone): AMH indicates the size of ovarian reserve. AMH is secreted by the small antral follicles found in the ovaries at the start of the menstrual cycle.
HYSTEROSALPINGOGRAM (HSG)
The hysterosalpingogram (HSG) is an x-ray test that lets your physician examine the inside walls of your uterus and Fallopian tubes. We routinely perform an HSG for three primary reasons:
To see if a patient's Fallopian tubes are open
To assess whether the uterus has a normal shape
To confirm that the uterine cavity is not affected by fibroids, polyps, or scar tissue
Sonohysterogram
A sonohysterogram is an ultrasound study of the uterus. Your doctor inserts fluid into the uterus via the cervix to examine the uterine lining. A FemVue test is often done at the time of the sonohysterogram to allow the doctor to easily check the patency of the fallopian tubes.
Semen Analysis (Performed at an outside lab)
Semen analysis is a male fertility test of a man’s sperm and semen. Its results show how many sperm are released, as well as how they're shaped and how well they move.
Fertility Treatment
OVULATION INDUCTION:
Ovulation induction is a treatment for patients whose cause of infertility is an ovulation disorder. During ovulation induction, medications are used to stimulate the growth of a mature egg. Ovulation induction is combined with either timed intercourse or intrauterine insemination. You may have an ovulation disorder if you have irregular, infrequent, or absent menstrual cycles.
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI):
Intrauterine insemination is a treatment where sperm is washed, concentrated, and placed within the uterine cavity using a catheter. This is done during a specific time during the patient's cycle.
IN-VITRO FERTILIZATION (IVF) monitoring:
IN-VITRO fertilization is not performed at FVRM, however, FVRM is able to assist patient's during an IVF cycle by performing ultrasound and bloodwork monitoring. Results are sent STAT back to the IVF center the patient is working with. Click the links below to visit IVF centers we frequently work with. Advanced Fertility Center RMIA
